THE RIVER
CITY RIVER
The harsh typography in southern Arrabah and the mountains caused rainwater to collect and cross through the valley, causing flooding on Khanouq Street. To be treated and inspired by " Bustan Khiat - Haifa", which utilizes wadi water through the passage of canals that collect rainwater, exposed canals that blend with nature and extend into the Bustan;
I offer a project that allows a living experience close to nature, in addition to educational spaces that will be used by the children as well a greenhouses and towers for growing vegetables.
- It will make young people who live and visit children and farmers experience nature together.
- The project emphasizes the flow of traffic into nature through a pedestrian path that also includes secondary roads to the sides of the mountain.
- The architectural language allows users to easily familiarize themselves with the project, and at the same time it allows them to wander in it.
- Each program has its own unique shape and materials to serve as a starting point for users.
- The design offers different types of apartments in addition to the option of increasing the living units or linking them to other spaces such as the greenhouse for example.
- The sections show the emphasis on air holes so that the buildings are planted inside the mountain, so it was necessary to create courtyards for apartments or sloping windows as well as English courtyards.
- The project at its end meets the mountain and is gently integrated by reducing the density and flow of green roofs.
